Achema is our new entry-level Loudspeaker into the World of ultra-high performance audio systems!
Our new model boasts all the design techniques that have distinguished our brand over the years, such as the traditional Albedo transmission line loading system, and all the new acoustic improvements that have further enhanced the musical qualities of our products.
Achema is a slim 2.5-way floorstanding tower designed to fit easily into any type of home environment and thus bring "High-performance High Fidelity" to a greater number of enthusiasts.
High-quality ceramic drivers remain a fundamental requirement for sound rich in detail, dynamics and transparency.
We have done it again!!!...
The success of our Agadia model confirms that our reinterpretation of the 2.5-way system is capable of significantly enhancing the performance and characteristics of the audio system.
Using a larger transducer for the half way, we have increased the radiating surface to increase the sound pressure as in a 2.5 way loudspeaker but keeping the higher energy and dynamics typical of 3 way systems. In this way it has been possible for us to use higher impedance transducers with the advantage of offering a loudspeaker with a nominal impedance higher than the classic 8 ohms and thus solving the weak point of all half-way loudspeakers.
That's why Achema is an easy load for any type of amp, it doesn't thirst for power, easy to control, it will be able to express its best qualities even with entry-level amps. The distortion level will always be low and the balance of the music will always be the same.
Achema is proposed as the first of a new line of loudspeakers which nevertheless reflect the exceptional characteristics of our most emblematic models, such as our AGADIA or ACCLARA models, with the same shapes, the same design and the same care for the mechanical stability of the cabinet and the reduction of vibrations with heavy damping steel plates.
We have designed a new cabinet that is smaller and lighter, but which is able to maintain the right balance between weight and stability, so as not to lose the surprising sound focus that characterizes our speakers. Furthermore, the new side ports of the Transmission Line facilitate installation in any type of music room.
Although small in size, we have used large wooden panels that reach thicknesses of 30 mm in the most crucial points of the structure.
The crossover is the heart of the speaker and for this reason we have devised a way to improve, optimize and simplify in a single solution.
The new boards have been designed so that the number of solder joints is reduced, with even shorter copper tracks, and have been assembled in such a way that the interaction between the magnetic fields of the components is minimal, in this way we have optimized the performance with a sensitivity recovery that translates into 1dB more sound pressure! (compared to a standard solution).
Even in this new crossover, we have not given up on relying once again on the proven and renowned quality of MUNDORF components, which in our opinion are capable of offering great transparency, dynamics and musical realism that are difficult to surpass!
Our Agadia project has taught us a lot in recent years and we would never have thought that small adjustments would translate into huge improvements capable of greatly enhancing the musical capabilities of the entire speaker.
For this reason we thought it was logical not to give up the undeniable advantage of dedicating a housing compartment for the crossover circuit totally separate from the acoustic load cabinet, so as to obtain a mechanical and microphonic separation of the components responsible for processing the audio signal.
